Currently my digital artefact, Moore Music, is in the prototyping phase, this means that I am testing content and making changes according to the feedback and engagement I receive.
Through reflection of the engagement I received after posting my first video, It was evident that the process I used to produce the video was effective. I wanted to quickly get it filmed and uploaded to establish a presence on the platform of YouTube. I posted this video on the 23rd of July, and by the end of that week the video had received just over 100 views, and my channel had 19 subscribers.
I found that each time I uploaded a new video, my other videos would also get views. When I posted on my Instagram and Twitter accounts, I received more engagement than when I simply posted it on Youtube. I also found that 41.1% of my views came from ‘channel pages’ meaning people watched my videos after searching for my channel, and 23.8% are from external sources, meaning that they clicked a link on my twitter or instagram account.
So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed producing content for my DA, and I am looking forward to testing further prototypes, including compilation videos and collaborations, and figuring out what works best for me and my audience!
until next time,
Elly xo
