Prototyping!!

Hello! I’m in Hawaii right now and definitely got confused with time zones and am writing this VERY last minute (late) so bare with me…

The prototyping phase of my DA has been interesting to say the least, my first 3 videos were pretty much the same format wise, they were all 2-4 minutes long, singing a song and using an instrument, no editing involved. I got an average of around 150 views on each, here are the three videos with the descriptions:

For each of the videos, I included the lyrics and chords, as well as links to my social media accounts:

The most recent video I posted to my account had the least amount of views, and I figured out that people are not as interested in watching the entire song, and usually only watch til about a minute in.

I thought of a way to fix this dilemma, and put together a compilation of 20-30 second videos of other songs I have sang to equal the length of a song, which I am hoping to post soon (when I get good enough wifi!)

My engagement has been quite good too, I have been getting comments from other music channels on YouTube, which I think may be as a result of adding key words into my titles – like the name of the instrument, the word ‘cover’ and the name of the artist!
