This week I changed my concept idea – without access to some of the places I wanted to photograph for my other one, I decided it would become too difficult, especially with the weather going on at the moment.
I have decided to change my concept to images of suburbs -I’m going to name the series of images ‘Suburbia’. They will fit into the category of documentary landscape photography, and feature 6 suburbs around the Wollongong region.
The theme of nostalgia is sort of still there – i grew up here, and all of the suburbs mean something to me as I have friends or family who live there.
It will be important to ensure the images are all taken at a similar time of day – so the colours match when all of them are put into a contact sheet.

This was taken from my balcony at home, and is the outlook I want to capture in most of the images.
